Who are we at Zion Lutheran Church?
We are, Bible True; Jesus Strong.

The basis of all that we do at Zion can be found anchored in the Word of God. This is what it means to be “Bible True.” It’s as simple as that. If we cannot justify what we are doing by God’s Word – both Law and Gospel – we don’t do it.

We reach out to the world with God’s Word because His Word calls us to do so (The Great Commission). The good works we do for the furthering of God’s Kingdom and the betterment of our neighbors we do because God’s Word calls us to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind and to love our neighbor as our self. The Word imparts grace; it strengthens faith; it reveals Christ to the world and brings the Good News.

And we are “Jesus Strong.” Recall the words of Saint Paul in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

God has freed us in Christ Jesus to live for Him and for others. So what then should we fear. We can be strong in His Love in Christ Jesus, for He is our strength. We redeemed and sanctified by Jesus’ blood. In faith, our place in Heaven is assured and from this, we draw strength.

By the power of the Holy Spirit and standing solidly upon the Word of God, we strive to further the Kingdom of God and to be disciples proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. We want to see the Church growing in love for God and each other, and sharing that love with the whole world.

So there it is:
“Bible True; Jesus Strong.”
We are Zion. We are His. He is Ours.
Come join us and be part of His Kingdom.
